De meesterlijke opera 'Nabucco' van Giuseppe Verdi komt tijdens de kerstvakantie naar Vorst Nationaal. Het bekende verhaal over de oorlog tussen het Assyrisch-Babylonische Koninkrijk en de Hebreeërs werd door Geert Allaert en Frank Van Laecke in een hedendaags kleedje gestoken: de Jodenvervolging tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
Meer dan 100 acteurs, befaamde operazangers en een gerenommeerd symfonisch orkest geven op 29 en 30 december het beste van zichzelf tijdens deze grootschalige operaproductie. Een prachtige scène, een gigantische davidsster als podium, en originele kostumering zullen de sfeer van WOII zeer levendig voorstellen. Kortom, vernieuwend, maar vol respect voor de originele versie.
